Ice Storm - Plano, TX - Feb. 26 2003

thumbnail
The frozen rain and sleet started to fall Monday night.
thumbnail
It's now Wednesday and the streets still have a 1-2 inch solid sheet of ice on them.
thumbnail
We don't dare take our cars out of the garage as the driveway is a sheet of ice and they would simply slide into the street once we were on the driveway.
thumbnail
With the camera at street level, you can get a sense of the ice a bit better.

Just looking back down the street in the other direction.

Peanut was safe and warm in the house doing a bit of break dancing.
thumbnail
Hannah decided to make the best of it and model her nails for us still painted from last weeks 7th birthday party.
thumbnail
She did eventualy find enough melted sleet to kind of scrape some together, just enough to throw at dad.
thumbnail
Watch out dad, I'm going to get you!
thumbnail
This is our backyard with some of the grass starting to poke through the now melting ice.
thumbnail
Peanut mostly wanted to just stay in the warm house as this just seemed to weird for him.

Knocking the ice off the trash can.

Peanut posing for a quick shot.

Cinny looks like she is ready to snowboard, to bad we left all the snowboarding stuff back in California.

Hannah hitting mom with a snowball.
thumbnail
It's a show down, the Hannah girl vs. the Mama.
thumbnail
Run away!
thumbnail
Hannah pretending to be a turtle but I think Mama is wise to her tactics.

Greg, telecommuting into the office network. Notice the green ear plugs.

I only wish I could be this comfortable at the office. This telecommuting is great!
